HBO Executive Assistant, Programming Sales

OVERALL SUMMARY:

This position provides high-level administrative support to the Vice President, Programming Sales and is an integral member of a small team.  The ideal candidate will be a resourceful individual that can operate in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects under strict deadlines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain International sales database

  • Track upcoming programs and request screeners and scripts when appropriate

  • Attend monthly Original Programming meeting and advises sales team with any updates

  • Prepare informational sales sheet and press packets for all major programming

  • Take accurate phone messages, especially when dealing with international clients

  • Schedule meetings, travel arrangements, and prepare expense reports

  • Perform administrative responsibilities including answering phones, managing complex calendars, ordering office supplies, filing and copying

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills

  • Strict attention to detail and strong follow up required

  • Desire to work as a team player is essential

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with minimal supervision

  • Must possess a friendly demeanor and great sense of diplomacy and professionalism as this position interacts heavily with internal and external client base

  • Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook a must. PowerPoint a plus

  • Must be pro-active, articulate, reliable, professional, prompt

HBO Associate Manager, Promotion Scheduling

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan HBO Logs using established planning tools ensuring that targeted GRP goals are met.

  • Coordinate live and “near-live” programming. This involves the issuance of a ground rules document prior to each event and a recap memo post-event. Additionally, this requires an on-site presence at the HBO Communications Center during each event to facilitate the coordination of programming adjustments with the Operations staff.

  • Scheduling of promotional elements and bonus content elements across branded platforms as needed – HBO GO, HBO NOW, HBO OnDemand (etc).

  • Scheduling of all promotional content on HBO and Max FOD platforms.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of Promotion Scheduling or a related field

  • Knowledge of Broadcast Operations, Television Programming and Promotion

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy A MUST

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software

  • Initial required hours are Sunday – Thursday, 3p-11p.

  • This position will also require occasional work on Saturday evenings for live event coverage.

OVERALL SUMMARY:

Human Resources functions as a partner to business leaders at HBO and provides day-to-day counsel and coaching on employee relations issues, organizational development, performance management and compliance. The assistant is an integral member of the team and will provide administrative support for three HR Directors and their employee relations teams.   • Research and respond to employee inquiries regarding company policies and procedures

  • Generate and assemble confidential and time sensitive reports and organizational charts

  • Handle high volume of administrative tasks including, but limited to: calendar management, screening phone calls, booking travel, expense and invoice processing, scheduling and managing logistics for meetings

  • Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding employees as needed

  • Establish and maintain effective productive working relationships with colleagues

  • Provide support on ad-hoc projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a corporate environment; prior experience in a Human Resources support position preferred

  • Must possess a high degree of professionalism, judgment and accuracy

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Must be detailed with strong organizational and follow up skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

This is a Temporary role that supports nonlinear distribution initiatives for AMC, IFC, SundanceTV, and WE tv.

 

The Analyst, Media Preparation & Delivery is responsible for executing assigned tasks to ensure that content is accessible on all Ad Sales and Affiliate supported platforms for set top box Video On Demand (VOD) and TV Everywhere (TVE). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ensuring video, metadata and artwork are compliant with AMC Networks (AMCN) technical specifications and FCC closed-captioning requirements. In addition, the position provides day to day support for the Technical Operations Supervisor (TOS), inclusive of assistance with accurate handoff of all non-linear traffic regarding promo and advertising spots and any other additional workflow and operational reporting and procedural needs.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver AMC Networks content to partners on time and to the required technical specifications.
  • Ingest tapes and/or manage digital media.
  • Transcode content for distribution on VOD and TVE.
  • Perform quality control checks of video content in conjunction with preparation for successful execution of dynamic ad insertion (DAI) for partner platforms.
  • Collaborate with network Media Planning and Ad Sales teams to receive traffic instructions to be used for creation of all ad-supported non-linear program assets.
  • Utilize task management system to track life cycle of asset from preparation to delivery.
  • Perform other duties assigned as needed.
  • Ability to work evenings preferred.
