WJAC-Tv Sports Multimedia Journalist

WJAC-TV has an exciting opportunity for a Sports Multimedia Journalist (MMJ). Your responsibilities as a Sports MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing sports and news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned. A minimum of 1 year reporting experience is required. This position is located in our State College, PA bureau and will focus on Penn State University sports as well as local sporting events.

Requirements:

Required Experience:

 

  • Covering local sports events
  • Preferred experience of reporting on a major Division I university
  • Non-linear editing (on Avid a plus)
  • Shooting, writing and editing your own stories each day
  • Some basic experience with anchoring and producing a plus
  • Experience with live shots is required
  • Experience with Live-U is a plus
