Motion Graphic Designer

Fuse Media is currently seeking an experienced Motion Graphics Designer to join the Brand Creative Team and create graphic elements for all linear and digital shows, demos, pitches, and special projects as directed by the Creative Director. The ideal candidate will have strong conceptual skills, strong motion effect skills (motion design, after effects, etc.) and attention to detail with knowledge of commercial applications. The top candidate will also be solutions oriented, hands-on and thrive in a fluid, entrepreneurial environment, with a passion for all aspects of typography and design, pop-culture and emerging trends. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with creative partners and internal clients to conceptualize, design and execute high-end visual experiences around key brand and marketing initiatives for various formats, including TV broadcasting, print and digital
  • Drive the ideation and creation of custom graphics and motion graphics for all Fuse projects, including show logos, email blasts, social media, web channels and other marketing campaigns
  • Willingness to ideate, shoot and edit photoshoots/video for clients in various verticals.
  • Assist in ad hoc day-to-day creative needs
  • Develop, update, and maintain presentations in InDesign and PowerPoint
  • Constantly research the latest trends in design and communication and lead test-and-learn efforts
  • Regularly explore new editing techniques, plug-ins, and other assorted ideas in video production, motion graphics to maintain innovation and growth
  • Collaborate with the wider creative and digital teams to create high-quality assets for all Fuse properties


  • 1-3 years of work experience in motion graphics, prior TV broadcast/cable network and/or media agency experience a must
  • College Degree in Graphic Design and/or equivalent related work experience required
  • Strong background in conceptual and visual thinking
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop, as well as Cinema 4d, and Illustrator in Mac-based systems
  • Excellent project management skills, including strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have good focus and attention to detail; in addition to good design, layout, and color theory skills
  • Familiar with HD and SD resolutions, frame rates, and pixel aspect ratios
  • 3D Modeling & Animation Background a plus
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and experience in deadline driven environments
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions
  • Understand and can incorporate branding into all aspects of animation & design
  • Experience in logo development
  • Must have demo reel with breakdown and explanation of project involvement
  • Sharp strategic thinker who can help develop and maintain a solid brand experience on multiple platforms; must be up-to-date on industry trends with a great eye for design
  • Well-equipped with a deep arsenal of special effects and animation skills
  • A team player who can collaborate with multiple entities from various backgrounds
  • Can work independently and make quick artistic decisions whenever necessary
  • Must be able to work occasional late nights during busy seasons
  • Interest in newer or emerging design formats
  • Must have great communication skills and be able to give and receive critical feedback in a small team environment
  • Passion for music and youth culture
