Technical Director TV

San Diego, CA | Full Time

Responsible for directing the technical aspects of newscasts, news pre-production and other station programming as well as checking and switching between video sources– cameras, video inserts (b-roll), graphics, etc. – during live broadcasts utilizing a vision switcher and associated control room equipment, and taking responsibility for the on-air product, including camera shots and graphics. 

Required Education and Experience

• College Degree preferred.
• One year experience as technical director.
• Ability to operate all production equipment.
• Previous Adobe experience.
• Knowledge of production techniques, including camera and editing.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a Full Time position. Must be available to work weekend schedule as necessary. Actual hours and schedule may vary. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Reports directly to News Director
