Graphic Designer, NJTV

Reporting to the Supervising Graphic Producer, the Graphic Designer will work with Senior Staff and internal creative clients to develop visual elements for NJTV productions, including NJTV News, On the Record, Reporters Roundtable, NJSpotlight.com and others. Additional responsibilities include:

• Branding will include program packaging such as logo (OTS), show open, lower thirds, cold open tease framing, info tease framing, credit bed, underwriting bed, remote boxes, date / locators, recurring segment titles;
• Work with producers, and editors to create graphic elements for broadcast and web pieces and provide files to editors for inclusion in final pieces. Artwork may include charts, graphs, documents, maps, photos, diagrams, text and other elements as required;
• Design and produce graphics for use in studio set elements;
• Design and produce over-the-shoulder and other day-of-air elements;
• Design and produce graphics for NJTV News specials;
• Additional duties, as assigned.

Qualified candidates will possess exceptional planning, organization, communication, problem analysis and decision-making skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines. In addition, candidates will have the ability to interact with roles across the editorial and product teams. Additional qualifications include:
• A minimum of two years of experience working in broadcast motion graphics including experience doing graphic design at a news network or digital media outlet;
• Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator;
• Strong skills in typography, infographics, and animation;
• Experience working with After Effects and Cinema 4D;
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once;
• Familiarity with web languages such as HTML/CSS; knowledge of best practices for web design;
• Experience working with datasets; familiarity with GIS mapping programs;
• BA/BS in Design or equivalent work experience.

Salesforce Administrator

Direct Mail & Donor Services Associate

The Direct Mail & Donor Services Associate will oversee the management of WNET’s Acknowledgement programs and administration of WNET’s Member card discount programs for THIRTEEN, WLIW, NJTV. In addition, the Associate supports the Associate Director, Direct Mail Programs with daily production support for all Membership solicitation efforts. Specific responsibilities include:
• Regular review and audit of Acknowledgement program to ensure Acknowledgement program is current and implements best practices.
• Ensure weekly Acknowledgment efforts and annual tax statement mailings are mailed on schedule; track weekly delivery of mailings and alert vendors of delays or problems;
• Create and implement additional acknowledgement letters for seasonal campaigns and new programs;
• Work across departments ( DevOps, Gift Processing) and teams to ensure data is properly coded and flagged to receive correct acknowledgement language.
• Review inventory of print materials with each vendor and authorize reprints on a semi-annual basis or more often if necessary. Work with vendors to create efficiencies wherever possible.
• Provide support to the Associate Director, Direct Mail Programs in the following areas: review and approve print and mailing proofs for all Membership direct mail appeal and renewal campaigns; alert direct marketing agency and their production vendor of errors or any other problems; route and provide materials to Communications and outside vendors for approval as needed.
• Oversee management of WNET’s Membercard Partner program including contact existing Membercard partners each year to renew their annual commitments; research and contact potential new partners for the program; partner with other departments on special events or offerings; oversee brochure design and secure print bids for job; work directly with selected printer on print production.
• Ensure fulfillment of recognition benefits for participating organizations.
• Provide assistance at cultivation events on occasion (Member Lunches, Ticketed Events, etc.).
• Oversee all postal duties: liaise with USPS representative ; maintain permit accounts and pay account maintenance and renewal fees; maintain BRE accounts for all three stations and replenish postage funds quarterly;
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), be highly detailed and organized with the ability to proactively manage vendors. Additional qualifications include:
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a marketing function; candidates with direct response fundraising experience within a non-profit environment are preferred;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM programs (Salesforce preferred);
• Experience managing relationships, deadlines, documentation, and scheduling
• Possess an ongoing interest and willingness to learn new technologies, techniques and practices
• BA/BS in Marketing or equivalent experience.

Reporting to the Director of Media Services, the Senior Coordinator, Media Services provides end-user support to production clients relating to media data integrity, infrastructure (software/hardware) storage utilization and post production broadcast play-out. The incumbent supports technical issues and is responsible for providing support to editing professionals, resolving broadcast media related issues and vendor interface/management.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Collaborates proactively with IT staff to ensure technologies are current;
• Supports pre-production workflows for respective production unit clients;
• Troubleshoots and resolves media (ingest) related issues; \
• Troubleshoots and supports producers and editors with all postproduction-related issues (e.g.: Edit Rooms, Edit Cubes, Adobe Premiere, Dalet, Avid, etc.);
• Participates in the restoration activities of WNET’s media assets;
• Periodic Software/Hardware updates as needed;
• Perform additional duties and special projects, as required.


Qualifications:
• At least one year of experience in a broadcast environment; familiarity with production-related equipment/software;
• Working knowledge of both PC and Apple Products/ Software and Servers (Windows 7 & 10, Mac OSX);
• Experience with Xendata, storage solutions and Adobe Creative Cloud;
• Working knowledge of Media Asset Management (i.e. Dalet) and Non-linear Editing Systems (i.e. Avid, Telestream products, Adobe Premiere);

Senior Coordinator, Media Services

Database Administrator

As Database Administrator, the candidate will administer and maintain our new CRM data warehouse database on AWS environment and current fundraising Oracle database on-premise. The Database Administrator will provide technical support on integration tools (Dell Boomi) and reporting tools (Salesforce Einstein) as well as test and coordinate modifications to the systems, troubleshoot problems, ensuring high availability and optimum performance of the systems.

Oracle specific responsibilities:
• Plan and execute database backup and recovery;
• Improve and maintain database to include rollout and upgrades;
• Monitor the performance of databases for our fundraising application and data warehouse in development and production environments;
• Ensure 24/7 availability, performance, backup, recovery and security of the databases;
• Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime;
• Perform database environment cloning;
• Trouble shoot system issues and establish call bridges with appropriate personnel to ensure the databases restored to proper operating condition and all efforts are documented from start to closure;


AWS specific responsibilities:
• Creating database instance, designing schema, PL/SQL & SQL development; modifying database structure; Archiving and updating data;
• Importing data into PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS;
• Automating recurring or deprecating redundant database tasks;
• Maintaining database integrity, availability, and restorability;
• Generating needed ad-hoc reports and data files using PostgreSQL or third-party tool;
• Performing Common Management Tasks for PostgreSQL environment;
• Managing PostgreSQL Database Access;
• Proactive performance tuning and database parameter configuration; database cache management;
• Providing on-call support which can require analysis and trouble-shoot of complex issues;
• Additional duties, as assigned.

In addition, the Database Administrator will provide technical assistance within different environments and projects, Examples include assisting in setting up integrations between systems using Dell Boomi, creating and updating datasets for reporting tool Einstein Analytics, and various data hygiene projects.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years of database administrator experience, excellent analytical abilities, strong technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. In addition, qualified candidates will possess:
• Experience with multiple database platforms;
• Experience in UNIX (Sun SPARC Solaris), Red Hat Linux and/or Oracle Unbreakable, and UNIX shell scripting;
• Expertise in Oracle 11g database implementation and administration;
• Knowledge of cloud solution environments, preferably Amazon Web Services (EC2, EBS, S3, etc.);
• Knowledge of SalesForce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, NPSP data systems are a plus.


Candidates with experience in large data sets, and/or a nonprofit setting are preferred, as well as candidates possessing a distinct desire to continue to learn and work with other modern technologies in a fast-paced culture.
