Broadcasting and Media Innovations Division of University of Wisconsin-Extension is home to Wisconsin Public TV, Wisconsin Public Radio, and Instructional Communications Systems and is headquartered on the UW Madison campus.
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic human resources specialist to join our HR team. During this one-year project appointment, you’ll play a key role in helping our organization attract and retain a diverse and talented workforce through developing new, creative recruiting ideas, developing relationships with community and university partners, and building an effective internship program.

WTAT FOX 24 in Charleston, SC is looking for a Writer/Producer to create a half-hour daily hot-topics variety show.
- · Must be a news junkie and follow local, national and international stories, including entertainment, arts, and culture
Work with show’s Host to develop relevant, trending topics and content which can be discussed on the show
Help writing scripts and formulating questions for interviews
- Book guests who can contribute to the daily on-air content
Help build rolodex of contacts to bring onto the show through cold calling
Maintain strong relationship and rapport with contacts
Be able to produce in-studio segments and on-location shoots
Research topics thoroughly; leave no stone unturned
- Manage and source graphics and videos which coincide with the daily topics
- Work with Director and Master Control to ensure show is ready for air
Strong understanding of production value including how the show is shot on multiple cameras
- Develop social campaigns to drive shows topics. Work with Digital Content Director and Station Producers to promote the show.
Lead daily and weekly editorial meetings

The role is for an experienced Managing Producer. The successful candidate must have:
- Experience conducting interviews and performing hosting duties on-air, online or in-person in a style that is credible, conversational and polished

- Ability to work with media, university and community partners
- Strong understanding of performing, visual and musical arts in varying styles
- This position will have oversight of a unit of producers to provide daily multiple media content and must have at least 2 years in a supervisory role, demonstrated leadership and teambuilding skills
- Record of achievement documented by industry awards
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, Master’s Degree preferred

Position Title: Maintenance Engineer
Reports to: Director of Operations & Engineering
The technical equipment and physical plant of the station requires routine maintenance and repair to keep it in correct operating condition. Situations also arise that require emergency or short notice conditions and station maintenance staffs are available to meet those needs. Keeping the station on the air and operating properly is the responsibility of the Maintenance Engineers.
