ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Represent station and FOX7Austin.com to local advertisers. Develop new-to-station and web business. Maximize billing on existing account list. Write, prepare and deliver sales presentations to advertisers. Negotiate business with agency buyers. Cultivate new-to-station advertisers through cold-calling and aggressive prospecting. Prior media advertising sales experience (minimum 1-2 years) required and television sales experience preferred. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with One Domain, Scarborough, Wide Orbit and CMR is a plus. Excellent people skills. Good driving record.

KTBC - TV FOX 7 - Maintenance Engineer

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Television broadcast engineer needed to operate and maintain a wide variety of computer-based and IP-enabled equipment throughout the TV station, in support of News and Production operations. To be a successful candidate for this position, you should have formal training in computer science, electronics, or broadcast engineering, or a minimum of 5 years of prior experience in one of these fields. Additionally, good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a technical team are required. A professional certification, such as a General Class FCC license, CompTIA Network +, SBE CBNT/CBNE, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft MCSA/MCSE while not required, would be a major plus. Local travel is occasionally necessary for this position, along with the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays. The ability to work from time to time on short (>12ft) ladders, and to lift up to 40 lbs. is also required.

Put together a fast-paced, clear newscast with good writing skills, graphics use, and ability to put the best video with the best writing. Work with reporters and photographers to get the best stories on the air. Good at researching topics for live interviews in newscast. Creative producer who can be flexible and change focus of show quickly and efficiently. Will help post stories to our website, social media and update as needed. Two years experience as a newscast producer. Working knowledge of libel laws and journalistic ethics. College degree preferred in related communications field. Social media skills. Knowledge of newsroom computer systems. Must be creative, highly motivated and organized. Must be a team player. Must be able to work overnight shift for morning newscast.
