POSITION SUMMARY (Scope & Purpose)
The primary focus of the Production Manager is to manage a staff of directors, audio operators and production assistants. This position will have production oversight of all live newscasts and taped studio segments.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Manage day-to-day logistics of the production of all live newscasts and taped studio segments
Maintain and foster constant communication with the News and Creative Services Departments
To order and maintain all lighting fixtures and organize all set lighting needs.
Manage the graphic look of all internally built graphics for newscasts.
Must be able to deal with the ups and downs of a live newscast in a professional .
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
4 year college degree, preferably in broadcasting or a similar field.
5 years of television production experience
Organized, detail oriented individual who can work across departments
Knowledge of the operation of a Ross Switcher
Adobe Photoshop experience.
This position requires standing, reaching, lifting, manual dexterity and carrying. Position requires full vision, color perception, and hearing for quality control of on-air signals. A valid driver's license is required.
