Job Description:
ABC7 Chicago is looking for a dynamic and engaging anchor to join the weekend morning news team and report three days a week.
Responsibilities:
Co-anchor the 4-hour weekend morning news block; gather and report news for all platforms; engage with the audience both on air and on digital platforms. We’re looking for an anchor who loves to report, who researches and pitches interesting stories, works sources to break news and tells compelling stories on every platform.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have prior experience anchoring television news; be able to work under intense deadline pressure; have ability to turn stories for multiple newscasts and digital platforms. Must possess solid writing and reporting skills. Must show competency and interest in engaging with digital audience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability and knowledge of shooting and editing video
Required Education:
College degree required; 3-5 years of large market experience preferred
