RESPONSIBILITIES
WFLD/WPWR is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician with a skill emphasis on installing, maintaining, and repairing full
power UHF television transmission systems. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of all components related to the
transmission system, including electrical, water cooling systems, encoders, exciters, antennas, and other various RF related
equipment. Past experience with Harris and/or Comark DTV transmitters along with CPI and/or E2V IOTs is preferred. Well versed in
reviewing and evaluating transmitter reports and able to document according to FCC requirements. This position will also perform
duties at the studio including maintenance of master control and production automation systems, ingest and playback servers,
routing systems, satellite distribution, microwave systems, networking equipment, server hardware, and other various facility needs
as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a broadcast television station. Associates degree or higher in
electronics or engineering. Formal technical training from military or trade school in electronics and/or RF technologies combined with
7 years previous related work experience can be substituted for a degree. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must
be flexible with schedule and willing to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must possess a
valid drivers' license.
