The Manager, Corporate Strategy helps develop and implement strategic projects using financial and data analysis to optimize the programming, content allocation and scheduling strategy across linear networks and OTT platforms – along with evaluating content for acquisition. This position supports the development of strategic plans by providing sophisticated research and analysis on market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive analysis to help influence business growth and profitability. The Manager will work with colleagues across the organization from Programming, Marketing, Distribution, Brand Strategy, Research, Legal and Finance to identify opportunities, build strategies and identify processes needed to deliver sustainable bottom-line results. This position will support the business units and SVP in the development of business models and presentations that assess the viability of new tactics and opportunities.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with the Corporate Strategy team and business units across the company to develop forward-thinking strategies in support of marketplace growth, by conducting analysis and defining and refining business strategies
• Research, analyze and optimize the company’s programming and content allocation strategy, both quantitatively and financially by providing analysis on market and industry trends, and competitive moves to help validate the efficacy of new tactics that drive the growth of cable networks and new business
• Conduct analysis to uncover key insights and trends about Crown Media’s positioning in the marketplace and effectively communicate these insights across the company
• Work with the SVP and Corporate Strategy team to define potential business models that realize profitability opportunities and provide insightful qualitative analyses identifying financial risks and potential returns on investments
• Create business cases that influence the marketing, financial and channel planning for the business’s long and short-term planning
• Monitor and report performance against targets and KPIs to determine the effectiveness of implemented strategies
• Build collaborative and trusting relationships with peers, internal leaders and Executive management to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas and information across the company
• Collaborate across the organization aiding in individualized strategy formulation for different projects and initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a strategy, programming, planning or analyst role
• Experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical)
• Experience with in-depth quantitative analysis
• Prior experience across multiple lines of business in a Media or Entertainment environment
• Prior experience supporting strategic business development initiatives
• Prior experience building financial models and strategy-driven presentations
• 3 or more years programming / content strategy experience at a TV network or streamer
• Experience evaluating content acquisitions, both qualitatively and financially
• Must have proven exceptional abilities in applying well-developed problem-solving skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing
• Superior skills in building financial models
• Experience with business intelligence tools (i.e., Tableau, Wide Orbit Analytics)
• Solid data skills and the ability to dive deep and understand the details of the entertainment, digital and publishing business domestically and internationally
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and problem-solve with executives and department managers
• Creative problem solver
• Must be available for periodic travel (post Pandemic)



• MBA or Advanced Degree in a relevant discipline
• Experience with an advertising-supported business and in a diverse filmed entertainment or streaming environment.
• Desire to work with international and emerging markets and technologies
