WPEC is looking for a Director for our newscast.

Experience:

Responsibilities:    

Perform any production duties as assigned including:     
                      

• Direct and TD any assigned newscasts and productions using Ross Overdrive
• Display proficiency using Chyron to display still graphics
• Avid editing and exporting to various mult-media platforms
• Checked studio to make sure all equipment used is stored properly
• Maintain production studio and control room
• Perform preshow & post checklist
• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned, which may include website contribution

Requirements:

Requirements:      

• Experience directing using Ross Overdrive by coding automated commands
• Knowledge of studio production standards and equipment
• Full working knowledge of Avid Media Composer
• Provide a clear and confident execution of news and weather productions
• Ability to read and write, college degree preferred
• Must be able to lift & position 40 pound lighting instruments
• Must have valid driver’s license with clean record
